Job Description
We are seeking an Electronic Assembler I to join its manufacturing team in State College, PA. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates interested in electronics manufacturing, mechanical assembly, and precision production work.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of assembly tasks including cable fabrication, hand soldering, bonding processes, component assembly, and limited product testing while following established work instructions and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components according to specifications and work instructions.
- Perform hand soldering and cable assembly operations.
- Work under a microscope to complete precision assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders, and assembly procedures.
- Prepare components, fixtures, and materials for assembly.
- Perform bonding and attachment processes.
- Conduct basic product testing and inspections.
- Complete manufacturing work orders accurately and on schedule.
- Record labor and production activities within the MRP system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Less than one year of related manufacturing, assembly, or production experience required.
- Ability to follow written instructions, procedures, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hand soldering.
- Experience working under a microscope.
- Electronics assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with cable fabrication or small-part assembly.
