Lead Maintenance Technician – HVAC Experience Required

Position: Lead Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Start Date: Immediate

Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Sealy, TX. We are looking for a skilled maintenance professional who can confidently handle HVAC troubleshooting, apartment repairs, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day maintenance operations.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong technical knowledge, and can work independently while providing leadership and support to the maintenance team.

HVAC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED


What We're Looking For:

We want a seasoned maintenance professional who understands the demands of a multifamily property and can hit the ground running. The right candidate will be confident troubleshooting HVAC and other apartment systems, capable of handling resident work orders efficiently, and comfortable taking ownership of daily maintenance responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and prioritize daily maintenance needs
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
  • Complete apartment make-readies and preventative maintenance
  • Handle electrical, plumbing, appliance, drywall, painting, and general repairs
  • Respond to resident work orders promptly and professionally
  • Inspect vacant units and ensure they are ready for new residents
  • Identify maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair
  • Assist with directing and supporting maintenance team members
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory
  • Keep the maintenance shop and property areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and the onsite management team

Qualifications:

  • Multifamily/apartment maintenance experience REQUIRED
  • Strong HVAC experience REQUIRED
  • EPA certification preferred
  • Previous Lead Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Knowledge of apartment electrical, plumbing, appliances, drywall, painting, and carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple work orders
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
