Pharmacist Itasca, IL

RPh on the Go is currently seeking licensed Pharmacists for a 13-week contract assignment supporting a busy pharmacy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists with inventory management experience and knowledge of IV medications who are looking to make an immediate impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty medications.
Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and help minimize waste and expired products.
Ensure medications are stored properly and maintain compliance with USP standards and all state and federal regulations.
Verify medication orders before preparation and shipment.
Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping.
Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to ensure medications and supplies are available for patient orders.
Review controlled substance inventory and maintain all required documentation.
Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication delivery.
Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to accurately track medications and supplies.

Requirements
Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist license
Knowledge of IV medications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse pharmacy environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Monday through Friday
10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
13-week contract assignment
