LHH is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in the Indianapolis, IN area. This organization is a growing global manufacturer that supplies highly engineered products to premier OEM customers and continues to invest in new technologies, product launches, and operational expansion initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on product quality, continuous improvement efforts, new product introductions, and overall manufacturing performance while working closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams in a collaborative environment. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $70,000-75,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match. ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Support daily production quality activities across manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze quality data and identify opportunities to reduce defects and scrap.
- Develop and maintain PPAP documentation for new and existing products.
- Participate in new product introduction activities and launch readiness reviews.
- Conduct capability studies and evaluate process performance trends.
- Perform Gauge R&R studies and maintain measurement system effectiveness.
- Review control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve process and product issues.
- Assist with internal audits and quality system compliance activities.
- Support customer quality initiatives and corrective action responses.
- Monitor calibration records and ensure testing equipment compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on quality and efficiency.
- Help develop standardized processes that improve manufacturing consistency.
- Delegate inspection activities and provide guidance to quality technicians.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing facility is required with preferences toward automotive, aerospace, food, or other highly regulated industries
- Must have 2+ years of experience with ISO 9001
- Must have experience with PPAP development, quality documentation, and new product launches
- Ideal candidates will have experience with IATF 16949 quality systems
- Must have the ability to perform RCA and implement corrective actions
- Ideal candidates will have experience conducting capability studies and Gauge R&R analyses
- Experience with APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and quality core tools is preferred
