Job Description
Looking for a rewarding contract opportunity in the Houston area supporting middle and high school students? A leading school district needs a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This important, on-site position serves grades 6-8 or 10-12, depending on your preference, providing direct therapy, evaluations, testing, and ARD participation. Enjoy a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and manageable caseloads of 50-60 students while making a real difference in students’ communication and educational progress. Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license and Florida licensure required (please include an image of your license when applying)
- Experience in school settings, particularly with middle and high school age groups, is preferred
- Capable of managing full-scope SLP responsibilities: therapy, evaluations, ARDs, and testing
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative abilities
- Ability to complete all district credentialing, including FBI fingerprinting if not already on file
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to assigned student caseload
- Conduct evaluations and prepare detailed progress reports
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as a valued interdisciplinary team member
- Coordinate and communicate with educational staff and parents
- Tailor intervention strategies to meet individual needs of diverse learners
