Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician works in a manufacturing facility performing welding, flange line work, fabrication, and production activities. This role supports the safe and efficient assembly and fabrication of components, contributing directly to high-quality output and smooth manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks on various components in accordance with production specifications and safety standards.
  • Support flange line operations, including preparation, alignment, and assembly of parts.
  • Carry out fabrication work such as cutting, fitting, and assembling metal and other materials to meet design requirements.
  • Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently as part of the production process.
  • Assist with general assembly tasks, ensuring components are correctly fitted and finished.
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, or production plans to complete jobs accurately and on time.
  • Use power tools and hand tools appropriately to support fabrication, assembly, and machine operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to facility safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor equipment and materials during production and report any issues or defects promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Practical welding experience with the ability to perform basic welds safely and effectively.
  • Hands-on fabrication skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Experience in a general manufacturing environment, with understanding of production workflows.
  • Ability to perform assembly work using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Comfortable using power tools and hand tools in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work from production plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliability and willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in welding, fabrication, or machine operation is preferred.
  • Experience in assembly or construction environments is beneficial.
  • General manufacturing knowledge, including basic production processes, is an asset.
  • Prior exposure to power tool use in an industrial or construction setting is nice to have.
  • Ability to adapt to different tasks within welding, fabrication, assembly, and machine operation.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as the facility grows.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility with hands-on welding, fabrication, assembly, and machine operation work. Multiple shift options are available, including first shift positions from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as well as second shift positions from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM with a shift differential. The environment is production-focused, with regular opportunities for overtime. Team members work around industrial machinery and fabrication equipment and should be prepared for an active, shop-floor setting with appropriate work attire suitable for welding, fabrication, and machine operation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chickasha, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
