Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is looking for a senior accountant for a growing West Chester, OH based company. The senior accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff. • At least 5 years of accounting experience, including work in a senior-level capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close responsibilities in a fast-paced business setting.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and the preparation of journal entries.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in financial records.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
