Job Description
We are looking for a Low Voltage Technician to support installation and service work for a range of structured cabling and low voltage systems. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who takes pride in precise workmanship, follows safety standards closely, and can adapt to both independent field work and team-based projects. The role focuses on delivering reliable connectivity and system performance across security, network, audio/visual, and related infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain low voltage infrastructure for security, access control, data, audio/visual, and related systems across assigned job sites.
• Pull, terminate, identify, and verify cabling to ensure installations meet applicable performance and labeling standards.
• Troubleshoot, connectivity issues, and equipment problems to restore system functionality in a timely manner.
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, schematics, and technical instructions to complete installations accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with project leads, subcontractors, and fellow technicians to keep work aligned with project schedules and site requirements.
• Record completed work, testing results, service activity, and material usage with clear and organized documentation.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling methods, wiring practices, and installation standards for low voltage systems.
• Ability to use common installation and testing tools effectively, including equipment for cable verification and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking with careful attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Ability to work productively both independently and in collaboration with a wider project team.
• Clear communication skills and solid organization habits for managing field tasks and documentation.
