Job Title: Production Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Specialist to join our team in an aerospace machine shop environment. The role involves interpreting blueprints and operating various equipment, including hand grinders, to produce high-quality metal components.

Responsibilities

• Surface grind metal rings that cover aircraft engines.
• Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure accurate production specifications.
• Utilize hand grinders and other machinery to achieve precise metal finishes.
• Perform heavy lifting as required in the production process.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand grinders and other production equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience in heavy lifting and handling production tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an aerospace environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with grinding metal and working with steel rings.
• Comfortable working extended shifts and weekends if necessary.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine shop with state-of-the-art equipment and safety measures in place. The environment includes steel dust collection systems and requires wearing PPE, including steel toe boots and smock-like clothing. The open-air shop may become warm due to headgear and mask usage, with multiple grinding stations facilitated by fans.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harbor City, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
