Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Cardiology
Location: New York (Multiple Locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary Range: $135,000 - $200,000 (DOE)**
Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual English/Chinese-speaking Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Cardiology experience to join a growing outpatient cardiology practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced cardiologists in a patient-centered environment dedicated to delivering high-quality cardiovascular care to a diverse patient population.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), possess strong clinical skills in cardiology, and be passionate about providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, laboratory studies, and cardiac imaging.
- Manage hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and other cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform follow-up visits, medication management, and patient education.
- Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, risk factor reduction, and preventive cardiac care.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active New York NP or PA license in good standing.
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience preferred.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is required.
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
