Join Our Team as a Sanitation Worker (3rd Shift) – Romeoville, IL

Sanitation Technician (Food Manufacturing)
Looking for steady, full-time night shift work with a leading food production facility? We are 3rd Shift Sanitation Technicians to join our sanitation and plant maintenance team.
This is not a light janitorial or porter role. You will play a vital role in our food safety operations by deep-cleaning, foaming, and sanitizing high-speed food processing equipment, production lines, and plant infrastructure before the morning production run.

Shift Schedule & Hours
  • Location: Romeoville, IL
    Pay: $18.00 per hour
    Shift: 3rd Shift 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment & Facility Sanitation: Clean and sanitize food production lines, conveyors, washing rooms, prep rooms, drains, and floors using hot water hoses, chemical foamers, squeegees, and compressed air.
  • Chemical Safety: Safely handle and apply chlorinated sanitizers and cleaning agents following strict safety protocols.
  • Line Prep & General Labor: Complete washdowns within scheduled cleaning windows (~4.5 hours), then assist with box folding and staging production lines for 1st shift startup.
  • Safety Compliance: Attend mandatory daily safety huddles and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Teamwork: Work closely with team leads and shift supervisors to ensure audit-ready sanitation standards every night.

Candidate Requirements
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, squat, reach, twist, lift, sweep, and scrub continuously throughout an 8-hour shift in a wet environment.
  • Environment Adaptability: Comfortable working with hot water, sanitation chemicals, and varying temperatures (cool production areas during morning hours).
  • Reliability: Excellent attendance and punctual arrival for night shifts are essential.
  • GMP & Food Safety Compliance: Must adhere to strict food manufacturing standards:
    • Full-length pants required (jeans, sweatpants, or leggings—clothes that you don’t mind getting wet or bleached).
    • No jewelry, piercings, watches, fake nails, nail polish, or eyelash extensions.
    • Hair nets and beard nets worn at all times in production zones.
  • Must provide your own steel-toe safety shoes for production entry.
