Step into an impactful role serving middle and/or high school students in the Houston area's southwest side. This contract position is tailored for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about working collaboratively within a supportive school environment. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, your expertise will empower students in grades 6–8 or 10–12, with assignments thoughtfully matched to your preferences and location.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP Licensure (submit an image of your license with your application)
  • Skilled in the full spectrum of school-based SLP responsibilities, including therapy, ARDS participation, and comprehensive evaluation/testing
  • Experience with adolescent populations preferred, comfortable managing caseloads of 50–60 students
  • VOCO SLP experience is a plus, though not required
  • Fingerprint background check required (prior district prints may suffice)
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized and small group speech and language therapy to middle or high school students, depending on your assigned schools
  • Complete assessments, progress monitoring, and create intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate closely with other education professionals to support student growth
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Provide input on school assignments to best match your skillset and minimize commute
