ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join a middle school team in Livermore Falls, Maine for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for an educator who enjoys working with middle school students and providing targeted academic and instructional support in a Resource Room setting.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students build confidence, develop academic skills, and make meaningful progress toward their educational goals. While the district strongly prefers a full-time candidate, they are open to considering qualified part-time educators.

Position Details

• Location: Livermore Falls, ME
• Setting: Resource Room
• Grade Levels: 6th-8th Grade
• Start Date: August 28, 2026
• End Date: June 10, 2027
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 35-40 hours per week
• Position: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates considered
• Caseload: Middle School Resource Room
• Compensation: Competitive weekly pay

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students in a Resource Room setting
• Support students in grades 6th-8th with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families as appropriate
• Implement and support student IEP goals and accommodations
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs
• Help create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Encourage student independence, confidence, and academic growth

Qualifications

• Active Maine 282 Endorsement – Special Education required
• Bachelor’s degree required
• School-based Special Education experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
