Cost Accountant

Job Description
As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost accounting and general ledger functions for designated manufacturing plants. This role serves as a crucial link between the plants and the headquarters finance organization, ensuring effective cost controlling and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare plant financial budgeting and forecasting reports.
- Perform monthly closing and variance analysis.
- Ensure consistency between plants for cost expense categorization.
- Issue monthly financial KPIs for plant cost controlling.
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Develop product cost standards.
- Prepare financial data for internal and external audits.
- Manage SOX controls for areas of responsibility.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent area of study.
- Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing finance, plant, or cost accounting.
- Ability to work independently to successfully complete assignments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- R3 SAP experience in FI and CO is highly desired.
- SOX audit experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Thursday in the office, with Fridays at home. The position observes normal business hours.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.00/hr.
