Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:
- Current DESE Special Education Teaching Certification (grades 5-12) required
- Prior experience working in high school or secondary education preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for diverse learning needs within an inclusion classroom
- Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered educational practices
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Provide direct instruction and support in both classroom and small-group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a positive, respectful, and productive classroom atmosphere
