Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 6-week, full-time assignment starting in October. This unique opportunity near San Francisco offers you a chance to work with young learners, helping them develop essential communication skills in a dynamic school environment.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current California state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with elementary-aged children, is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt to a fast-paced classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting
- Keep accurate and timely documentation of student progress and related services
- Engage families and caregivers, providing strategies and updates to support ongoing development
