American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring CCC-SLP certification and 1+ years of experience, with new grads with acute care experience welcome to apply.

• Acute care hospital setting treating strokes, geriatrics, general weakness, and related diagnoses
\n
• No major trauma cases, as those are transferred to other facilities
\n
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
\n
• Uses Meditech charting system
\n
• Utilizes TIMS West Coast equipment for swallow studies
\n
• Holiday coverage required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP, though new grads with acute care experience may be considered
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• CCC-SLP certification required
\n
• MBSImP certification required, with training available on-unit
\n
• FEES certification preferred
\n
• Meditech charting experience preferred
\n
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• License pending candidates may be considered
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations, Modified Barium Swallow Studies, and related dysphagia management
\n
• Experience conducting and interpreting FEES and MBS studies preferred
\n
• Provide patient and family education as part of treatment plans
\n
• Deliver care using compensatory strategies, thermal stimulation, and other dysphagia interventions
\n
• First-time travelers accepted
\n
• Travel pairs accepted
\n
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
\n
• Management is willing to work with clinicians on time off requests, though minimal RTO is preferred
\n
