Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring active IL licensure and prior travel contract experience.

Details\n

\n
• Labor & Delivery unit within a Level 2 trauma center hospital
\n
• 3x12 day shifts with a 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM (0645 start) schedule
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
\n
• Uses Epic EMR
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license required (Illinois in hand, must apply for Iowa or compact license at time of confirmation)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Current ACLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
\n
• Fetal monitoring experience required
\n
• Experience with Pitocin, Mag, and insulin administration required
\n
• Triage, labor, C-section circulating and recovery experience preferred
\n
• Must not have been employed by the health system within the last 12 months
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team for L&D patients
\n
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for travel rate eligibility
\n
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
\n
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration
\n
