Join WCS Healthcare Partners in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA, as a Surgical Technologist. This role is essential in assisting surgical procedures, ensuring the proper handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and supporting the surgical team in delivering top-notch patient care.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assist in surgical procedures competently and professionally. \n
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of equipment and supplies for surgical procedures. \n
- Scrub for surgical procedures and perform duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN). \n
- Perform direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during procedures. \n
- Maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials. \n
- Adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner. \n
- Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures. \n
- Perform other related duties as required. \n

- High school diploma or equivalent. \n
- Graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification. \n
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. \n
- Certification in Surgical Technology. \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association. \n
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. \n
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. \n
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to be self-directed. \n
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment. \n
