American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5+ years of L&D/Postpartum experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
Details\n- \n
- Work in a hospital setting covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and BFHI rooming-in with moms \n
- Unit averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month \n
- 12-hour day shift schedule \n
- Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed \n
- May occasionally serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training \n
- Occasional floating to other qualified departments required, which may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones \n

- Active AZ or compact RN license required \n
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting \n
- Current BLS and ACLS or ALSO certification required \n
- Current NRP certification required \n
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required, or RNC-EFM may be substituted \n

- Provide direct patient care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery units \n
- Support Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) practices with rooming-in for moms and babies \n
- Work as part of a team that may require additional charge nurse responsibilities on occasion \n
