Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

• The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides occupational therapy services to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans

• Provide therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines

• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning

• Supervise COTAs as applicable

• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations

Job Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Current OT license in good standing in the state of Florida

• Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations

• Strong communication and documentation skills
