Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent with a strong background in multifamily construction to oversee electrical operations across one or more large apartment projects. This role sits above the Foreman level and is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of electrical scopes from rough-in through final inspections.

This position is ideal for a leader who has run multifamily work in the field, understands sequencing and production realities, and can successfully manage multiple crews, schedules, and jobsite stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee electrical construction on large-scale multifamily projects (podium, wrap, and garden-style)

  • Supervise and support Electrical Foremen and field crews across assigned projects

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and production targets

  • Coordinate electrical scope with General Contractors, Superintendents, and other trades

  • Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure proper execution

  • Drive jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with NEC and local codes

  • Track productivity, labor efficiency, and material flow

  • Anticipate and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget

  • Support project turnover, inspections, and closeout

  • Assist with training, mentoring, and developing foremen and future leaders

  • Serve as the primary field-level point of contact for electrical operations

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or
Senior Electrical Foreman ready to step into a Superintendent role

  • Strong multifamily electrical experience required (large apartment complexes)

  • 8–10+ years total electrical trade experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews and foremen

  • Deep understanding of multifamily electrical systems, sequencing, and life-safety

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

  • OSHA-30 preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between jobsites as needed

What Sets This Role Apart
  • Focused primarily on multifamily projects — not service or small commercial work

  • Clear leadership role with authority over manpower and field execution

  • Opportunity to influence production, scheduling, and team development

  • Stable backlog of multifamily work with long-term growth potential

  • Collaborative environment with Project Managers and executive leadership
