Production Technician

Summary:

Multi-faceted, task oriented and involved in any one of the variables associated with production. Responsible for transporting product and materials using appropriate transport equipment. Provides updates on the work of the production group assigned to a product.

Primary Duties:

• Production of assigned product
• Assist in packaging product
• Handling of raw materials within safety and compliance standards
• Use of forklift to transport product and materials within the production area
• Provide information for daily production reports
• Has completed basic training in Lean Manufacturing
• Has basic knowledge of IFS system and basic computer skills

Non-Essential Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness of shop work space
• Dispose of bad or damaged product

• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor

Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Six months minimum related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
• Forklift certification preferred
