Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician with proven hands-on experience in precision electro-mechanical assembly and fine-pitch soldering. This role will support prototype and low-to-medium volume production of complex electronic assemblies in a fast-paced engineering environment. This is a two to three-month temporary position on-site in Cary, NC. Slated to begin work on July 20, 2026.

Perform precision electro-mechanical assembly of PCB's, chassis, enclosures, and sub-systems
Build, route, and terminate custom wiring assemblies and cable harnesses to engineering specifications
Execute high-quality soldering and rework on surface-mount and through-hole components
Conduct board-level and system-level troubleshooting using standard test equipment (multi meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings and BOM's
Create clear, accurate, and repeatable work instructions and assembly documentation
Support engineering teams during prototype builds, design iterations, and production standards

Requirements

Minimum two years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly within electronics manufacturing or R&D environments
Experience building wiring assemblies and complex cable harnesses
Strong soldering skills on at least 0402 components
Comfortable reading basic electrical schematics and assembly drawings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week as a temporary employee
