Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN)

Job Summary:

Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality physical therapy services to our patients. Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician

• Assist with treatment of patients with noted disorders or deficits within Physical Therapy scope of practice

• Operate therapeutic equipment and devices, including crutches, walkers, exercise apparatus, canes, iontophoresis, electrical stimulators, traction, and heat/cold modalities

• Record daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and complete manner

• Provide treatment according to the treatment plan as prescribed by provider and developed by physical therapist

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association

• Licensed in the state in which you will be practicing

• Active members of state and national Physical Therapy Associations (Preferred)

• CPR/BLS Certification (Preferred)

Work Environment:

• Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in Chipley, Florida

• Our facility provides a variety of rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as skilled nursing care and restorative care

• As a PRN PTA, you will work on an as-needed basis, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs
