About This Role
The Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech and language evaluations, treatment, caregiver education, and interdisciplinary collaboration through a secure telehealth platform. The SLP works with pediatric clients experiencing communication, language, speech, feeding (if qualified), social communication, and related developmental challenges. This role emphasizes family-centered care, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with multidisciplinary providers to help children achieve meaningful functional outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations via telehealth.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy using engaging telehealth techniques.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Complete all clinical documentation accurately and within required timelines.
- Educate and coach parents and caregivers to support carryover of skills in the home environment.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, Occupational Therapists, physicians, psychologists, educators, and other providers.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, state licensure regulations, and company policies.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication.
- Maintain productivity standards and quality metrics established by the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Active state licensure in the state(s) where services are provided.
- Experience working with pediatric populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with telehealth technology and electronic medical records.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a private, professional workspace.
- Strong understanding of speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and pragmatic language disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric interventions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with children and families through virtual sessions.
- Comfortable using digital assessment and therapy tools.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the clinical team.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while providing telehealth services.
- Ability to operate a computer and telehealth equipment.
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient to conduct evaluations and therapy sessions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing teletherapy services.
- Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary pediatric teams.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
