Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR role requiring 2+ years of vascular/IR experience and Hybrid OR familiarity.

Details

• Provide imaging support in the OR for vascular interventional radiology cases
• 13-week contract assignment
• 5x8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating call every 4th week
• Work in a Hybrid OR and Interventional Radiology setting performing special procedures
• 50-mile radius rule applies

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT (VI) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of vascular/IR experience required
• VA state license required if applicable, pending license accepted with eligibility contingent on out-of-state licensure
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures, angioplasty, endovascular interventions (EVAR, TEVAR), thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography required
• Carotid stenting experience preferred
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and access site preparation preferred
• Experience with Siemens equipment and ultrasound preferred

Additional Information

• Actively participate in the entire case workflow rather than solely operating equipment
• Pull inventory and order cases in Epic prior to procedures
• Run the table and controls during cases
• Perform 3D spins and work with fusion technology
• Remain actively engaged in the room throughout procedures, including filming and post-processing images
• Use HI-IQ to document and track inventory used during cases
• Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, OR team, and other procedural staff
• Utilize a C-arm to support simple surgical cases such as Impella placements and cystoscopies during downtime
• Ability to work independently is important
• Must float within scope of practice as needed
• Travelers who previously worked at the facility as permanent staff or travelers require a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching that limit
• Maximum of 40 hours RTO permitted per 13-week contract, to be disclosed at time of consideration
