Patient Demographics: Adults (Mothers), Neonates
Patient Volume/Census: Approx. 11 deliveries per week
Case Mix: OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Epic
Specialty Backup Available: OB/GYN (in-house 24/7), Pediatric Hospitalist

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

First Assist (OB/Surgical)
Intrapartum Care & Vaginal Delivery
Postpartum Care
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
Obstetric Ultrasound
Advanced Fetal Monitoring

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active RN and APRN license in TX
Board: Active certification with AMCB
Certifications: BLS, NRP
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience managing intrapartum and postpartum care preferred
Other Qualifications: Shared decision making, holistic care approach, strong communication skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive prenatal care, monitor fetal health, and manage labor progress.
Support natural childbirth techniques and manage pain relief options including epidurals.
Perform deliveries, provide first assist in surgical procedures, and manage medical interventions.
Deliver postpartum and newborn care, including recovery assessment and lactation support.
Collaborate with in-house OB/GYN, CNM team, and Pediatric Hospitalist for optimal patient outcomes.
