Commercial Litigation Paralegal - Ridgeland, MS

Butler Snow LLP is looking for a dedicated Commercial Litigation Paralegal to anchor our complex commercial cases from our Ridgeland, MS office location. What you would do:

• Draft correspondence including pleadings, discover, motions, orders, and notices.
• Schedule and maintain case calendars
• Research complex issues using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.
• Investigate legal matters including fact check, witness interviews and summarization
• Manage document production and trial prep including notebooks, exhibits and case law cite checks.
• File pleadings, motions, and other documents.
• Review and summarize depositions, and other documents.

What you bring:

• Must bring 3 to 5 years of paralegal experience
• Paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including excel, word and power point
• Experience capturing and recording billable time
• High degree of detail and client focus
• Experience reviewing and summarizing records
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
• Drive and personal initiative
