Tool Room Operator
Location: Spring Valley, IL
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tool Room Operator to join our team in Spring Valley. This position plays a critical role in supporting production by maintaining, organizing, issuing, and tracking tooling and related components used throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent math skills, a positive attitude, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn. Success in this role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Issue, receive, and track tooling for production operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of tooling inventory and usage.
  • Inspect tools for wear, damage, and proper condition.
  • Assist with measuring, organizing, and preparing tooling for upcoming production jobs.
  • Read and interpret basic measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient tool room.
  • Work closely with production personnel to ensure tooling is available when needed.
  • Assist with inventory counts and tool room audits.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
  • Strong math skills are required.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous manufacturing, tooling, inventory, or tool room experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of tooling and materials.
  • Ability to lift and move items as required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
