Town & Country Animal Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team!

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the practice is essential. Candidates should have open, flexible scheduling availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, along with basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Safely assist with patient handling and restraint during examinations and treatments.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment.
• Perform kennel duties, including feeding, watering, and walking boarded patients. Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, and picking up after animals.
• Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other diagnostic samples as directed.
• Assist with surgical preparation and monitoring, including anesthesia monitoring under veterinary supervision.
• Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care.
• Support daily hospital operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous veterinary experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Passion for animal health and welfare with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to safely and confidently work with dogs and cats of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the hospital.
• Basic computer proficiency.
