Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will accurately assign medical codes, process insurance claims, and ensure timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and payer regulations.

The ideal candidate will accurately assign medical codes, process insurance claims, and ensure timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and payer regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims for timely reimbursement.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Resolve billing discrepancies, denied claims, and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding guidelines.
- Meet productivity and quality standards while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Assist with additional billing and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of medical billing and coding experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
