The Usual is an exciting new restaurant opening in early August inside the historic General Francis Marion Hotel. We're building a warm, welcoming neighborhood restaurant where locals and visitors alike can enjoy great food, exceptional hospitality, and memorable experiences.

Our Virginia ABC license is anticipated to be approved toward the end of August or early September. Until then, our beverage program will focus on handcrafted specialty mocktails, house-made refreshers, and other creative non-alcoholic beverages. We're looking for bartenders who enjoy creating unique drinks and delivering an exceptional guest experience from day one. Once our ABC license is active, you'll transition into serving our full cocktail, beer, and wine program.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Experienced Bartender at The Usual, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-notch service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine.
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth bar operations during busy periods.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- At least 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and bar equipment.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- A commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and teamwork.
