Essential Functions.

  • Under the direction and supervision of an attorney, manages personal injury case after intake through the demand process.
  • Extensive contact with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers and other case related vendors.
  • Obtain pertinent information from clients, including treatment status, doctor appointments, changes in medical care and/or work status, and related documents and records.
  • Review and organize client documents including medical bills and records, letters, and legal documents.
  • Research, document and monitor all enforceable legal liens related to case.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date notes and media files in case management software.
  • Identify and complete daily tasks related to the management of each case utilizing case management software checklist.
  • Fax and email correspondence with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Draft legal documents, letters of representation, requests for medical records, and demand notices under the supervision of an attorney.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervising attorney(s) to help drive the Firm’s vision of providing superior services to our clients.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners. 

Education and Experience

  • High school degree required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Some related experience required.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The position required prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Normal work days are Monday through Friday with 7.5 hour daily schedules varying between the hours of 7:30 am and 6 pm.  Occasional overtime in the evenings
