RHEUMATOLOGIST Opportunity to Build and Lead a New Service Line

Gastonia, North Carolina

Kintegra Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to help establish and grow a new rheumatology program serving patients throughout our region.

This is a unique opportunity for a physician who wants more than simply stepping into an existing practice. The physician who joins us will play an important role in shaping the future of rheumatology services and a planned infusion center designed to support patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

We're looking for a physician who values clinical excellence, collaborative leadership, and the opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up.

WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUT

Most rheumatology positions come with established structures, workflows, and expectations.

This opportunity offers the chance to help create them.

As our Rheumatologist, you'll have meaningful input into the growth and development of the program, including clinical operations, patient care delivery, and the evolution of infusion services over time. We recognize that the strongest programs are built with physician insight, and we're committed to creating a partnership approach as this service line develops.

In addition to helping shape the program, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on access to specialty care. Many patients throughout our region face barriers to rheumatologic treatment due to travel distances, limited specialist availability, transportation challenges, and financial constraints. This role offers the opportunity to bring high-quality care closer to home while helping address a significant and growing community need.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This opportunity may be particularly attractive to a physician who:

• Values professional autonomy and clinical leadership

• Enjoys building programs, processes, and services from the ground up• Is comfortable practicing independently without local rheumatology partners

• Brings an entrepreneurial mindset while remaining patient-centered

• Wants to influence the future direction of a growing service line

• Enjoys collaborating across disciplines and care settings

• Has an interest in helping shape infusion services for patients with autoimmune disease• Is passionate about improving access to specialty care in underserved communities

While all qualified candidates will be considered, physicians with several years of practice experience may find the leadership and developmental aspects of this role especially rewarding.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care

• Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory diseases

• Help guide the development of rheumatology services within the organization

• Collaborate closely with primary care and specialty colleagues

• Contribute to the planning and growth of a new infusion center

• Establish clinical workflows, best practices, and long-term program goals

• Serve as a subject matter expert for rheumatology services across the organization
