Dock Worker

• DOCK WORKER (Queens, NY 11432)

Starting Pay: $21.35/hr.

JOB DUTIES:

• Move catering equipment and flight loads from designated staging areas to assigned loading docks as directed by Dispatch or Dock Control.
• Load flight catering equipment into catering vehicles and assist drivers with loading activities.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure flight loads are complete and accurate.
• Add missing items and ice as needed and communicate missing carts, canisters, or bulk-loaded items to the appropriate team.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Report food safety concerns and operational issues to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently while meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required airport credentials in accordance with Port Authority and TSA regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
