Regional Controller | Hospitality & Property Management | $135K-$165K

A growing hospitality organization in the Bradenton, Florida area is seeking an experienced Regional Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting for a multi-property vacation rental business.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational partnership. The Regional Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic yet hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building scalable processes, improving systems, developing teams, and using financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, cash management, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, and best practices.
• Partner with executive leadership and operational teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Own local budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting procedures and standard operating processes.
• Support accounting system integrations and maintain strong financial data integrity across multiple platforms.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy prior to reporting deadlines.
• Support audits, financial reviews, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Experience overseeing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems preferred.
• Hospitality, vacation rental, hotel, property management, travel, or real estate accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting environments preferred.
• Knowledge of owner accounting, trust accounting, deposits, or property management systems is highly desirable.
• Experience in a high-growth, acquisition-focused, or private equity-backed environment is a plus.
