About the Role:
Funtastic Daycare LLC in Norristown, PA is looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Director to help lead our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in our community. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role at a nurturing childcare center where every day brings new rewards. Responsibilities:
- Support the Center Director in daily operations, staff management, and program oversight
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff to ensure high-quality early childhood education standards
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare policies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with enrolled families and prospective clients
- Assist with staff onboarding, scheduling, and daily room placements
- Oversee classroom environments to ensure safety, cleanliness, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Stepping into classrooms to work directly with the children tin order to maintain ratios when needed
- Planning, organizing, implementing, and managing family events and extra-curricular activities
- Managing inventory and assisting with meal service
- Step in to lead the center in the Director's absence
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a childcare or early education leadership role
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic personality
- Warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced childcare environment
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations and DHS requirements preferred
- Willingness to obtain required clearances, physical and TB test, and CPR/First Aid Certification
