Director of Nursing RN

Seville Care Center is looking for A Director of Nursing (DON) in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) that plans, organizes, and directs the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Directs the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Staff Management: Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), including scheduling and disciplinary actions.
• Resident Care & Quality Assurance: Monitors care quality through daily rounds, updating care plans, and implementing improvements.
• Compliance & Survey Readiness: Ensures the facility is prepared for inspections, maintains documentation.
• Financial & Administrative: Manages the nursing budget, controls expenses, and oversees the ordering of supplies, notes PointClickCare.
• Communication: Acts as a liaison between families, residents, physicians, and administration.

Qualifications

• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting (often 2+ years).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, excellent leadership abilities, and proficient assessment skills
