Job Description
We are hiring Landfill Laborers to support operations at a busy landfill in Lewisville, TX. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
This is not a warehouse position. Work is performed outdoors at an active landfill site around heavy equipment, dust, debris, and strong odors.
- Monday–Friday (hours may vary based on site needs)
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime and Saturdays may be required
- Must be flexible with schedule and available for varying start times
- Consistent attendance is required
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily landfill operations at the working site
- Pick up debris and maintain cleanliness of active areas
- Direct traffic and assist trucks entering/exiting dump zones
- Work safely around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
- Follow all site safety rules and procedures at all times
- Perform general labor duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly
- Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled, outdoor environment
- Able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Comfortable working around trash, dust, and strong odors
- Steel-toe boots required
- Reliable transportation to and from job site
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Required to complete site safety orientation
- Must wear PPE at all times (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, steel toes)
