Analog / Digital Phone Technician

Telepro Communications is currently hiring an Analog / Digital Phone Technician to join our Telepro division. We are looking for a dependable and experienced technician who has knowledge in phone systems, low voltage cabling, troubleshooting, installation, and service work.

Position Summary

The Analog / Digital Phone Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining analog and digital phone systems for commercial projects and service calls. This position requires someone who can work in the field, communicate professionally with customers, and complete work safely and correctly.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot analog and digital phone systems.
• Work with phone lines, extensions, jacks, cabling, and related low voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot phone system issues, including no dial tone, line issues, connection problems, and equipment failures.
• Install and terminate low voltage cabling as needed.
• Test phone lines and verify proper operation.
• Read basic work orders, service tickets, and job instructions.
• Communicate with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding job status.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle if assigned.
• Follow company safety procedures and job site requirements.
• Assist with other low voltage or communication system tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with analog and/or digital phone systems preferred.
• Low voltage, telecom, cabling, or service technician experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in the field.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and testing equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work.
• Ability to work on ladders, lift equipment/materials, and work in commercial job sites.
• Must be able to pass company requirements, if applicable.

Preferred Experience

• Phone system installation and service.
• Analog lines, digital phones, PBX systems, or VoIP knowledge.
• Low voltage cabling, Cat5/Cat6, terminations, and testing.
• Commercial service work.
• Experience with troubleshooting existing phone systems.
