Salon Housekeeper

The Salon Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment within the salon. Working primarily as an individual contributor and part of the housekeeping team, this position reports directly to the salon manager. The role involves thorough cleaning, laundry, sanitizing, and upkeep of salon equipment, while also assisting customers and managing inventory. Flexibility in shift scheduling is required, with daytime hours as the norm and occasional evening or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of salon areas and equipment
• Manage laundry duties for towels and salon linens
• Conduct inventory checks and manage cleaning supplies
• Dispose of waste according to salon protocols
• Assist customers courteously as needed
• Maintain and operate cleaning machinery and perform manual cleaning tasks
• Coordinate and manage housekeeping schedules
• Report directly to the salon manager regarding housekeeping needs and concerns

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in housekeeping or related roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment usage
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physical stamina and reliability to perform duties effectively
