Job Description
Position Title: Operations & Maintenance Technician IV - Equipment Operator
Location: Riverside, CA 92503
Duration: 6 Month's Contract Assignment
Work Schedule: 4/10 Shift (Start Time: 6:00 AM)
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate light and heavy equipment including dump trucks, water trucks, vacuum trucks, excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, tractors, cranes, and trailers.
- Support construction, maintenance, and repair of water distribution, treatment, and hydroelectric facilities.
- Perform safe equipment operation, transportation, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Assist with road maintenance, loading/unloading materials, general labor, and vehicle inspections.
- Operate equipment around pipelines, valves, structures, vaults, roadways, and other water utility assets.
- Follow all safety procedures, complete required maintenance checklists, and assist with other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Experience operating dump trucks and water trucks in construction or utility environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals.
- Knowledge of construction methods, equipment safety, and minor equipment maintenance.
- Valid driver's license equivalent to a California Class A, B, or C CDL with appropriate endorsements (or ability to obtain if required).
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Certifications such as Crane, Forklift, Hazardous Materials, Manlift, and Respirator are a plus.
- No CalPERS membership and no active Carpenter Union membership.
