  • Plan delivery routes and coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and schedule changes with the Shop Manager.
  • Maintain communication with the Shop Manager while making deliveries and immediately report delays, damage, safety concerns, or equipment issues.
  • Inspect equipment before delivery and upon return to confirm it is complete, operational, and in acceptable condition.
  • Assist with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, small engines, and demolition tools in the shop and at jobsites.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including inspections, fluid checks, fueling, lubrication, battery checks, tire inspections, and minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment deliveries, pickups, inspections, maintenance, damage, fuel, and repairs.
  • Keep the shop, yard, trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use.
  • Identify equipment or mechanical problems, determine the appropriate next steps, and communicate repair needs promptly.
  • Assist with inventory control and ensure equipment, tools, and supplies are properly checked out, returned, and stored.
  • Support building and grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, load securement requirements, traffic laws, and applicable OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to inspect equipment, recognize problems, troubleshoot issues, and determine when professional repair is required.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, adapt to changing delivery schedules, and complete assignments without continual direction or reminders.
  • Strong communication, organization, time-management, and follow-through skills.
