Job Description
The Senior Director, North America (NA)Token & Chipis responsible forthesuccess of network tokens and EMVchip/contactlessinNorth America.This leader willdefinea strategyfortokenandchipin North America, ensuring that these platforms continue tosupportdelightfulandreliableuser experiences as payments evolve. Toachieve this,this individual willleadgo-to-marketactivities tomeet bothin-year and Visa 2030 goals,own theregional roadmap for network tokens and chip/contactless,andserve as the senior product representative for these platformsto clients and internalclient-facing teams.
Responsibilities:
Definea North Americanstrategy to reach token ubiquity inecommerce;translate strategy into measurabletasks and workstreams.
Own the regional product roadmap fornetworktokensandEMV chip/contactless.
Identifyand accelerate newtoken and chip use cases relevant to NA based on client and market feedback.
Collaborateclosely with clients, internal client-facing teams, andglobalproduct counterparts toalign regional needs with globalobjectives.
Lead ahighperforming,crossfunctionalproduct office (direct and virtual team); provide clearobjectives, decision frameworks, and escalation paths.
Representtoken &chipexternallywithclients (issuers, acquirers, processors) andindustry bodies.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
12-15+ years in payments withsignificant timein product managementand/or commercialization.
Deep familiarity with network tokenization and EMV chip/contactless acceptance.
Experiencepartneringwithissuers, acquirers, gateways, and large merchants(e.g.commercial drivers, technical considerations)
Strong commercial acumen,including anunderstanding of core payment economics and drivers
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication; ability to lead across a matrix and influence without authority.
Handsonexperience with VTS/token programs, token requestor ecosystems, and issuance/processor integrations.
MBA or relevant advanced degree.
People leadership experience (building, coaching, performance management of product and program managers)

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
