Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Trip Intake - Corrections Representative
Location: On-Site or Remote, United States
Hourly Compensation: $18
(this position is bonus eligible)
Work Schedule: Full-Time
The Trip Intake Corrections Team works with Dispatch and Clinical Operations to ensure needed documents, corrections, or information is obtained in a timely manner and entered accurately into the billing system
Essential Functions/Duties
- Work with operations to ensure charting/CAD errors are corrected before beginning the billing process.
- Verify all information on the account is correct/available for charges to be applied to the account as applicable.
- Run daily reporting to capture accounts needing clinical and or dispatch attention and to confirm billable status.
- Run end of month reporting to account for all billable transports per month.
- Ensure all accounts are worked appropriately to allow distribution to the floor in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 1 year minimum advanced data entry experience
- 1 year minimum hospital/clinic admission experience or related education
- Ability to work within Excel - including functions, sort and filter, and re-size columns
- Ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal format
- Experience with downloading documents from websites and accessing documents downloaded
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year experience with Trip Intake Team
- 1 year EMS Dispatch experience
Education
- High school diploma
- GED
- Or, significant relevant work experience
Skills Required:
- Ability to download documents from various websites and key data from document into billing system
- Ability to type description of steps taken into billing system
- Ability to gather data, compile information and apply data entry steps accurately to accounts
