CNC Machinist ResponsibilitiesAs a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machining processes while producing high-quality precision components to exact specifications.
Day-to-Day Duties- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machining centers
- Perform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and machine troubleshooting
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Make minor program edits and adjustments at the machine
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges
- Machine aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and specialty materials to tight tolerances
- Run both short-run and high-volume production jobs
- Complete production and quality documentation using electronic systems and tablets
- Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and quality teams to ensure successful production
- Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience
- Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines
- Ability to perform setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with Haas CNC machines
- Multi-axis machining experience
- Swiss machining experience
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of tight-tolerance machining and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
