Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our fast-paced team. The primary functions of this role include performing MIG and stick welding of various metals, positioning, fitting, aligning, and welding products based on specifications and engineering drawings. This position is essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts through fitting, grinding, and utilizing various quality instruments. The successful candidate will collaborate with other departments to maintain a smooth production flow and ensure quality assurance in maintaining customer orders.
Responsibilities- Perform MIG and stick welding of various metals.
- Position, fit, align, and weld products based on specifications and engineering drawings.
- Fit and grind manufactured parts, utilizing various quality instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Primarily perform MIG welding, with occasional TIG or stick welding required on specific items.
- Partner with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and quality assurance.
- Utilize print and fit components, measuring and cutting when needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and understanding of weld symbols.
- Ability to pass a welding test.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in welding within manufacturing or other fields.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Schooling or certifications in welding are preferred.
- Experience with pressure vessel welding or lite pipe welding is a bonus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small maintenance team.

Work EnvironmentThis position offers opportunities on either the 2nd or 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime on weekends. The work environment is temperature controlled and clean, with safety gear such as hearing and eye protection required due to noise in some areas. Uniforms are provided, though personal work clothes are also acceptable, and the dress code includes jeans or work pants, short-sleeved shirts, and steel-toe boots. Cut-resistant gloves are required for certain responsibilities. Average work hours are 50 - 55 hours per week, with efforts to reduce this as additional positions are filled.
