Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a broad range of people operations in Princeton New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can balance employee support, policy administration, and benefits coordination while maintaining accurate HR records. The role will partner with leadership and staff to foster a positive workplace, guide employee relations matters, and help ensure smooth onboarding and day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily human resources activities, including employee relations support, records management, and administrative coordination across the employee lifecycle.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace policies, procedures, and appropriate resolutions for personnel concerns.
• Oversee onboarding activities to help new hires transition effectively into the organization and complete required documentation.
• Administer benefits-related processes, respond to employee questions, and coordinate enrollments, updates, and issue resolution with relevant partners.
• Maintain and update HRIS data to support accuracy, compliance, reporting, and efficient workforce administration.
• Prepare HR documentation and track personnel actions such as status changes, policy acknowledgments, and other employment-related updates.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve HR processes and support operational changes that affect employee information or workflows.
• Monitor HR practices for consistency and compliance with company standards and applicable employment requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in human resources management with strong knowledge of employee relations and HR administration.• Hands-on experience supporting benefits functions, including enrollments, employee communication, and issue follow-up.
• Proficiency working with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate employee data and records.
• Experience coordinating onboarding activities and managing related documentation and communications.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
• Knowledge of standard HR policies, practices, and compliance-focused recordkeeping.
