This exciting full-time contract opportunity invites dedicated educators to work itinerantly across Bond, Fayette, and Montgomery counties, enriching the educational experience for students who benefit from your expertise. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (DHH)
  • Strong knowledge of strategies and technologies that support Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
  • Experience working in school settings with a range of grade levels
  • Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned counties; reliable transportation required
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide specialized instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in various school locations
  • Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Consult with teachers and staff on accommodations and best practices for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and communicate goals and achievements with staff and families
  • Advocate for access and student success in the general curriculum
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in required meetings
